The Grove City Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce preparations for the 2025–2026 Southwest Community Leadership (SWCL) Class. This program provides valuable opportunities for both individuals and businesses to connect, learn, and grow as leaders within their careers and in the community. We would like to extend two special invitations to you and your team.
First, we invite you to host one of our monthly class sessions. The SWCL Class meets on the third Thursday of each month from approximately 6–9 pm. Hosting gives your business the chance to welcome the class into your space, showcase your facilities, and share your story. Many hosts also provide dinner for the group of about 20 participants—students, trainers, and team leaders—though this is optional.
As a host, you will have dedicated time to introduce your business, highlight your mission, and share how you are making a difference in the community. This is an excellent way to build meaningful connections and demonstrate your leadership within Grove City and beyond.
Additionally, we encourage you to consider enrolling someone from your team in the program. The SWCL experience is designed to prepare participants for greater leadership responsibilities in both their professional careers and civic life. Each monthly class features presentations and training from respected local leaders, introductions to key service organizations in Grove City, and engagement with community institutions such as the Jackson Township Fire Department, the Grove City Division of Police, and the Grove City City Council. These sessions provide practical leadership lessons, community awareness, and networking opportunities.
A central highlight of the program is the class service project. Participants work together to design and implement a project that benefits the community, putting into practice the leadership skills, teamwork, and knowledge they gain throughout the year. This hands-on experience allows participants to see the direct impact of their efforts and creates a sense of accomplishment and shared purpose. The SWCL program has a proven track record of helping individuals strengthen their leadership abilities while building lasting relationships across different industries and organizations. For businesses, it represents a significant investment in both your employees and the broader community. Hosting a session or sending someone through the program are excellent ways to be actively involved in shaping the future of leadership in Southwest Franklin County. We would be honored to partner with you in this important initiative and look forward to working with you to make the 2025–2026 SWCL Class another outstanding success.
Locations will vary during the course of the program. Class prospectus will be handed out during or before the first class and will contain all details on location, topic, presenters, etc.
